$80,000 Worth of Whipped Cream Stolen in Canada

$80,000 Worth of Whipped Cream Stolen in Canada – Police in Guelph, Ontario, are investigating a bizarre theft after criminals made off with 30 pallets of Gay Lea whipped cream, valued at about US$80,000, from a local business.
The refrigerated trailer carrying the dessert topping was taken during the early morning hours in what investigators suspect could be part of a larger “ingredient-theft ring.”

The theft follows a string of unusual Canadian food heists, including the disappearance of $35,000 worth of salsa and dip in Essex County earlier this month, and a $200,000 butter theft from a trucking facility in 2021.
Police are yet to make arrests, but social media users are already joking that someone might be preparing “the world’s biggest cake.”
