13 Death Threats and Counting
In a dramatic turn of events at the Harare Civil Court, Magistrate Meenal Naratom issued a protection order against Shepherd Damiro, a man accused of making 13 death threats against his ex-girlfriend, Pamela Muneno.
Pamela recounted in court how Shepherd terrorized her with repeated threats, including breaking into her home, physically assaulting her, and vowing to choke her to death.
“He threatened my life 13 times,” she revealed. “Just last Thursday, he broke into my house, shattered the glass door, and cut my arm with a shard of glass.”
Pamela further detailed the numerous attempts Shepherd made to harm her, saying, “He tried to poke my eyes and choke me on several occasions. He openly admits he wants to choke me to death, saying it would give him pleasure to watch me die.”
The harassment didn’t stop at her home; Pamela described how Shepherd would show up at her workplace, hurling insults in front of her colleagues. “I am living in fear every day,” she pleaded. “I need the court’s protection.”
Surprisingly, Shepherd did not deny the allegations. He admitted to making the threats and showed no resistance to the protection order. “I have no comment,” he stated. “I did threaten her, and I have no problems with the court granting her request.” 13 Death Threats and Counting
