103 Hours Community Service for Hwange Man Who Threw Stones at Neighbour’s House

HWANGE – A 39-year-old man from Makwikwa Village has been sentenced to 103 hours of community service for maliciously damaging his neighbour’s property worth US$614.
Edmore Muleya appeared at Hwange Magistrates’ Court, where he was convicted of property damage.
The State alleges that on January 26, 2025, at around 9 pm, Muleya threw stones at Siphatisiwe Mathe’s house, causing significant damage to 14 asbestos sheets, a grey deep freezer, a green bucket and a door.
According to the State, the total value of the damages amounted to US$614.
At the time of the incident, Mathe was inside her house praying.
The complainant reported the incident to the police, leading to Muleya’s arrest.
